We are having a tailgate in 2024 which will be our sole fundraiser. Come help plan the OVH tailgate at Sam and Joe’s pizza, 9784 Center St in Manassas. Meet at 6:00 pm+ to eat and business meeting will start at 6:30 pm.
The 44th annual Winterfest will bring hams and equipment vendors together on March 29, 2020. Several amateur radio clubs will be on hand to provide information about the ham radio hobby, getting started, where to find instructional help for earning the amateur radio license and much, much more! Vendors in new and used communications equipment, antennas, cabling, parts and supplies will also be on hand to help you find the hard-to-find. Winterfest is an ARRL approved hamfest.
Very early on ground hog day, OVH members manned a table at Frostfest in Richmond. The purpose was to distribute hamfest flyers and spread the word of our new location at the Manassas Park Community Center and the new date of Saturday June 15. We had many takers on the flyers. Many people were happy we moved the hamfest to Saturday. In addition, Don, WA2SWX and Theresa, KG4TVM worked the vendors at hamfest. One was happy to learn that the hamfest paypal links on our website are now live and was going to purchase a table right after frostfest.
