The center of Solar Eclipse Totality passes directly over Lexington. Â Eclipse QSO Party, HF Operation will be from a Public Parks or School. Planned Operation is from 11:00am to 4;06 EDST, details to follow. Â Checking Travel Velocity, I found a Limited number of budget Hotels in the Columbia Lexington area. Aiken SC currently has the best availability of Business Class rooms and Suites. I booked a room at the Aiken Hampton Inn for $84. Â Aiken is only 45 miles from the Eclipse Totality Center. W4OVH Online Technician Class License Preparation Course
Online Technician Class License Prep CourseIts 2018 and the Ole Virginia Hams want to help you start the New Year off right by helping you join an exiting hobby and technology venue by helping you both learn and test for your own Amateur Radio Technician Class License. The W4OVH club will continue our offering of free Technician Class license preparation courses starting on January 29th at 7PM. There will be a total of 8 weekly sessions of 1 hour each. This year we are introducing new innovations to the course delivery. The course will be conducted by video teleconference so that you have the convenience of attending from your computer at home. These distances are about 2/3 of an average sprint triathlon: Great race for first-timers and experienced triathletes to have fun racing to the finish on our short, flat course.
