President’s Letter August 2026
August started with the Berryville hamfest. There was a fairly good turnout despite the rain. Theresa KG4TVM and I saw a number of OVHers including Rob KR4EEV, Byron AK4XR, and Mark WA4KFZ. See the picture.
As this is written, we have an OVH VE session on August 15 and a memorial service for Paula, xyl of Ken KN4DD on the same day.
We have the Willing Warriors bike ride on Sept 12. It is a good public service event and you get a t-shirt and free lunch. Andy KJ4MTP could use some more volunteers. You can volunteer at https://www.bikereg.com/volunteers-warrior-ride
Finally, Theresa has set up a club POTA and picnic for us on September 20 at Sky Meadows state park. If you do POTA or would like to learn how, this event is for you . Feel free to bring family and friends. OVH will provide hotdogs and it would be nice if you brought something to share.
