The OVH Club Trailer will be in the Manassas Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 6th, 2025. We are looking for someone to pull the trailer thru the parade and also people to help decorate the trailer. Please reach out to me if you are interested or have questions, kg4tvm@hotmail.com We always have a great time at the parade, George K4GVT will be looking for volunteers to provide radio support during the parade. Charge up that radio and come out and experience this event!
John KG4NXT and I traveled to Ecuador in September to visit with Don WA2SWX and his YL Edith. We had the trip of a lifetime and are very appreciative of our host & hostess opening up their home to us and taking us on tours of the country. Don now has his Ecuador call sign HC4DA, it took quite awhile for him to get thru this process but he has his radio shack up and running. During our visit we traveled to Puerto Lopez for a few days and were able to stay in a Lodge located in a National Park there. Machalilla National Park is listed on the POTA page and it has never been activated until Don and John checked into the Lodge! Our US call signs are not authorized in Ecuador so Don’s call was used. After setting up the radio on the 2nd floor balcony and throwing a wire antenna over the palm tree they were in business. They were able to do 3 activations there and at one point had one heck of a pile up. It was a great trip all the way around!
