I just recently went through our membership list and compared it to the birthday list I have. There
are quite a few members who I don’t have birthday months for. So, if you don’t see your

The Willing Warriors Bike Ride was Saturday, September 12th. Thanks to the OVH members who
provided radio support for this wonderful event.
On Sunday, September 20th we held a POTA event at Sky Meadows State Park. The weatherman
did not help our event at all, claiming we were going to be completely drenched. Guess what?
We we didn’t have any rain the whole time we were at the park! Congratulations to Mark,
WA4KFZ for activating his first POTA park. We are thinking about having another activation
at the Manassas Battlefield during Support your Parks weekend on October 18th . We will put
info out on the reflector as it gets closer to the weekend.

OVH officers and directors got together this month for a brief meeting to discuss the budget,
Holiday party and 2027 Hamfest.
Thanksgiving Day, our help has been requested at the annual Turkey Trot held at the Freedom
Center in Manassas. The race starts at 8:00 am and is usually over in about 2 hours. We need 3 to 4
volunteers to be on the course. This event is very well run and they really appreciate us being
there. Please let us know if you can help out and reach out to kg4nxt@arrl.net or kg4tvm@hotmail.com.
Saturday, December 5th will be the Manassas Christmas Parade and volunteers are needed for the parade route.
We need someone to pull the club trailer thru the parade. Rob, KR4EEV is the club lead for
the parade and he is having a planning meeting on Tuesday, October 13th at Hog Shack on
Dumfries Road. Watch the reflector for updated info on the parade.
Sunday, December 6th is the OVH Holiday Party and will be at a new location and new time. A card and invitation will be
mailed in November. The location is Buckhall Volunteer Fire Department and is the same place where we
have our monthly club meetings. We will be in the large room next to the training room. This is
a family event, and please bring a dish to share. The club will provide turkey, ham, sodas, water
and paper products. See you at 7190 Yates Ford Road, 5 pm to 7:30 pm. and wear some holiday
sparkle! RSVPs are appreciated but not required at kg4tvm@hotmail.com
