Tuesday, September 15th, George, K4GVT will be giving his program on Vehicle FOB Relay Attack. George has done a lot of work on this presentation, and we are looking forward to hearing it!
Buckhall VFD is having the last BBQ Chicken dinner for 2026 on Saturday, September 19th, starting at 11 am and going until it sells out. Come on out and support this group!

In August, several of us attended a memorial service for Ken, KN4DD’s wife, Paula. We took a group photo after the service and our sincere condolences go out to Ken’s loss.

The Willing Warriors Bike Ride is Saturday, September 12th. OVH supports this event by having club members out on the bike course providing radio communications. Thank you to the OVH club members that volunteered to be out on the course providing communications.
Another event in September is a Parks On The Air (POTA) activation at Sky Meadows State Park in Delaplane on Sunday, September 20th from 10 am until 1 pm located in the picnic area. There is a $10 per car fee to get into the park. If you already are involved in POTA, this is a state park so it will count for an activation mark if you get 10 or more contacts. If you are interested in learning more about POTA, this will be a great opportunity to get your questions answered. This is just one of many beautiful state parks in Virginia. Bring the family as this is a great park to wander around in! The park address is 11012 Edmonds Ln., Delaplane, VA 20144. I have obtained a special use permit for us to use the park on September 20th for this event. We will be cooking hotdogs on the grill for lunch.
